Project Name: At-Home Sleep Stage Monitor

Group Members: Kiron Sukesan, Matthew Hwang, Yinong Wang
Current status of project: After learning that the Risk Assessment was not due last Wednesday, we decided to postpone completion until we have formulated a complete solution. We looked into possible devices for amplifiers and analog to digital converters. One good solution for the ADC is the Texas Instruments ADS1298 ADC because it appears to fit all of our requirements for signal fidelity. We also found more papers that we could use for more suggestions on the equipment. We also further researched potential electrodes and which placement pattern would be most effective.
Work planned for next week: We plan to start CAD modeling of possible headwear designs. In addition, we will continue finding suitable signal conditioning devices. We also will begin considering different ways we will store the EEG data in the device.
